Show Your Teen it’s Okay to Make Mistakes

They’re always watching – Want your daughter to be trustworthy, responsible, and compassionate? Make sure you’re modeling those values and behaviors in your own life. Who better to learn from than you? Let your girl see you taking responsibility for your finances, commitments and taking care of your possessions and relationships. And if you make a mistake in any of these areas feel free to admit it. Letting her know that nobody is perfect is a great first step in helping her accept her full self, not just pieces of herself. Mistakes will be something she will want to conquer or do better the next time instead of them holding her back with fear and anxiety. Our girls become more trustworthy, responsible and compassionate when we expose them to new things and are open to giving them more responsibility!
